"Here I am" : Words of Obedience

Genesis 37: 13-17

13 And Israel said to Joseph, “Are not your brothers feeding the flock in Shechem? Come, I will send you to them.” So he said to him, “Here I am.”

14 Then he said to him, “Please go and see if it is well with your brothers and well with the flocks, and bring back word to me.” So he sent him out of the Valley of Hebron, and he went to Shechem.

15 Now a certain man found him, and there he was, wandering in the field. And the man asked him, saying, “What are you seeking?”

16 So he said, “I am seeking my brothers. Please tell me where they are feeding their flocks.”

17 And the man said, “They have departed from here, for I heard them say, ‘Let us go to Dothan.’ ” So Joseph went after his brothers and found them in Dothan.

Joseph's simple yet profound response of "Here I am" to his father Jacob's request exemplifies the importance of obedience in our lives. This incident serves as a timeless reminder of the significance of being ready and willing to obey, even in the face of uncertainty or difficulty.

Joseph's obedience extended beyond mere words; it was demonstrated through his actions. When Jacob asked Joseph to go and check on his brothers, who were tending the flocks in a distant place, Joseph didn't hesitate even though he very well knew how much his brothers hated him. He went on a journey that required him to walk, search, and travel from Shechem to Dothan, showing his commitment to obeying his father's command.

This journey shows the lengths to which Joseph was willing to go to fulfill his duty. Despite the distance (approx 80km and another 24 km) and potential challenges along the way, Joseph pressed forward, driven by his obedience to his father.

Joseph's "Here I am" echoes throughout the pages of Scripture, as we see in the lives of Isaiah, Abraham, Moses, Samuel and Jesus Christ Himself. These faithful servants of God responded to His call with unwavering obedience, setting a powerful example for us to follow. From His birth to His death on the cross, Jesus lived a life of perfect obedience to the will of His Father.

As followers of Christ, we are called to emulate this same spirit of obedience, to respond with a resounding "Here I am" to God's call on our lives. Whether it be in the ordinary tasks of daily life or the monumental moments of decision, our obedience to God's will is paramount.

Take away:

¶ Always be ready and willing to obey God. By faithfully obeying God, we honor His commandments, which include respecting and obeying our parents, elders, and authorities.

நாம் மீண்டும் உயிருடன் எழும்புவோம்?!

ஒருசில நாட்களுக்குமுன்பு, இயேசு கிறிஸ்து உயிருடன் எழுந்ததை நினைவுகூர்ந்து, உலகத்திலுள்ள அனைவரும் அவருடைய உயிர்ப்பின் பண்டிகையை கொண்டாடினார்கள். மரணத்தின்மேல் அவர் வெற்றிசிறந்ததினால், உங்களுடைய மரணத்திற்கு பிறகு உயிர்த்தெழுவீர்கள் என்று நம்புகிறீர்களா?

ஆம், இயேசு கிறிஸ்து உயிர்தெழுந்ததால் நாமும் அவருடன் உயிரோடு எழும்புவோம்!

பாவத்தின் பலனாகிய மரணம் என்பது நம்முடைய வாழ்வை முடித்துவிடுகிறதா அல்லது எல்லா மனிதர்களும் நித்தியமாக வாழுவார்களா; நித்திய மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் நித்திய காலமாக வாழும் பரலோகத்திலா அல்லது நித்திய காலமாக நித்திய தண்டனை அனுபவிக்கும் இடமாகிய நரகத்திலா?

பரிசுத்த வேதாகமம் இவ்வாறாக சொல்கிறது, இயேசு கிறிஸ்து தான் தேவன் என்று உங்கள் வாயினால் அறிக்கையிட்டு, தேவன் அவரை மரித்தோரிலிருந்து எழுப்பினார் என்று உங்கள் இருதயத்தில் விசுவாசத்தால் நீங்கள் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவீர்கள் (ரோமர் 10.9) அதாவது நரகத்தின் நித்திய தண்டனையிலிருந்து மீட்கப்படுவீர்கள்.

"நானே உயிர்த்தெழுதலும் ஜீவனுமாயிருக்கிறேன், என்னை விசுவாசிக்கிறவன் மரித்தாலும் பிழைப்பான்; உயிரோடிருந்து என்னை விசுவாசிக்கிறவனெவனும் என்றென்றைக்கும் மரியாமலும் இருப்பான்" என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்து (யோவான் 11:25-26)ல் கூறியிருக்கிறார். "தேவன், தம்முடைய ஒரேபேறான குமாரனை விசுவாசிக்கிறவன் எவனோ அவன் கெட்டுப்போகாமல் நித்தியஜீவனை அடையும்படிக்கு, அவரைத் தந்தருளி, இவ்வளவாய் உலகத்தில் அன்புகூர்ந்தார்." (யோவான் 3:16).

பாவத்தின் விளைவாக வருகிற தண்டனையிலிருந்து இரட்சிக்கப்பட மனிதன் என்ன செய்யவேண்டும் என்று இந்த வேத வசனங்கள் விளக்குகிறது. கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து சிலுவையில் மரித்து உங்களுடைய மற்றும் என்னுடைய இரட்சிப்புக்கான வழியை திறந்திருக்கிறார். மட்டுமல்ல அவருடைய உயிர்த்தெழுதலானது மனிதனை மீண்டும் பரலோகத்தில் கொண்டு போய் சேர்ப்பதை உறுதிப்படுத்துகிறது.

தேர்ந்தெடுக்கும் அனுமதியை தேவன் உங்களுக்கு கொடுத்திருக்கிறார். ஆனால் தேர்வு செய்வது உங்களுடையதாகிறது. உயிர்த்தெழுந்து கிறிஸ்துவுடன் பரலோகில் இருக்க வேண்டுமா அல்லது பாடுகள் நிறைந்த நரகத்தில் இருக்க விரும்புகிறீர்களா? இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவினால் கொடுக்கப்படுகிற இரட்சிப்பு மற்றும் அன்பை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வீர்களா?

தேர்வு செய்வது உங்களுடையதாகும்.

നാം വീണ്ടും ഉയിർക്കും* !!* 😃

കുറച്ചു ദിവസങ്ങൾക്കു മുൻപ് ലോകം കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ഉയർത്തെഴുന്നേൽപ്പിനെ വളരെ ആഘോഷമായി ആചരിച്ചു. അവിടുന്നിന്റെ മരണത്തിന് മേലുള്ള വിജയത്തിൽ നാം സന്തോഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ, ഈ നേട്ടം നമ്മുടെ ഉയർത്തെഴുന്നേൽപ്പിനെ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിക്കുന്നു എന്നുള്ള സത്യത്തെ നാം എപ്പോഴെങ്കിലും ഓർക്കാറുണ്ടോ?

യേശുക്രിസ്തു ഉയർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു, അതെ, നാമ്മും ഒരു നാൾ ഉയർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കും !

പാപത്തിന്റെ പരിണിതഫലമായി ഉളളവായ മരണം നമ്മുടെ നിലനിൽപ്പിനെ അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുകയല്ല ചെയ്തത്; മറിച്ച് വാസ്തവം എന്തെന്നാൽ, എല്ലാ മനുഷ്യരും നിത്യമായി ജീവിക്കും. ഒന്നുകിൽ നിത്യജീവനും സന്തോഷവും അനുഭവിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ എന്നെന്നേക്കുമായുള്ള ശിക്ഷയും യാതനയും അനുഭവിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് നരകത്തിൽ.

തിരുവെഴുത്ത് ഇങ്ങനെ പറയുന്നു, യേശുവിനെ കർത്താവ് എന്നും വായ്ക്കൊണ്ട് ഏറ്റുപറകയും ദൈവം അവനെ മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്ന് ഉയർത്തെഴുന്നേൽപ്പിച്ചു എന്ന് ഹൃദയം കൊണ്ടു വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും ചെയ്താൽ നീ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും_ ( റോമർ 10:9) അതായത് നരകത്തിന്റെ നിത്യശിക്ഷയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള വിടുതൽ .

"ഞാൻ തന്നെ പുനരുദ്ധാനവും ജീവനും ആകുന്നു :എന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവൻ മരിച്ചാലും ജീവിക്കും" എന്ന് യേശു കർത്താവ് തന്നെ നമ്മോട് പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു ( ഇവിടെ മരിച്ചാലും ജീവിക്കും എന്നതുകൊണ്ട് ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നത് നരകശിക്ഷയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള മോചനമാണ് ) ( യോഹന്നാൻ 11:25-26).

തന്റെ ഏകജാതനായ പുത്രനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും നശിച്ചു പോകാതെ നിത്യജീവൻ പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ദൈവം അവനെ നൽകുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ലോകത്തെ അത്രയ്ക്ക് സ്നേഹിച്ചു__ ( യോഹന്നാൻ3:16).

നിത്യജീവൻ കൈവശമാക്കേണ്ടതിനും പാപത്തിന്റെ ശിക്ഷയായ നരകത്തിൽ നിന്ന് മോചനം പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിനും നാം എന്തൊക്കെ ചെയ്യണമെന്ന് ഈ വാക്യങ്ങൾ കൃത്യമായി നമ്മെ ഓർമിപ്പിക്കുന്നു .

നമ്മെ രക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന് വീണ്ടും ജനനത്തിനായുള്ള വഴിയൊരുക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് യേശുക്രിസ്തു നമുക്ക് വേണ്ടി ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. അവിടുന്നിന്റെ ഉയർത്തെഴുന്നേൽപ്പ് നമുക്ക് നൽകുന്ന ഒരു ഉറപ്പുണ്ട്. അവിടുന്നുമായി സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലുള്ള ഒത്തുചേരൽ.

പക്ഷേ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് താങ്കളുടേതാണ് . അതിനുള്ള പൂർണ്ണ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം നൽകിക്കൊണ്ട് തന്നെയാണ് ദൈവം താങ്കളെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് . കർത്താവുമായി എന്നെന്നേക്കും സല്ലപിക്കുന്ന സ്വർഗത്തിൽ ആയിരിക്കണമോ, അതോ നിത്യ യാതനയുടെ സ്ഥലമായ നരകത്തിൽ ആകണോ ? യേശുക്രിസ്തു കാണിച്ച സ്നേഹത്തെയും ഒരുക്കിയ രക്ഷയും പുണരുവാൻ താങ്കൾക്ക് സമ്മതമാണോ?

ഇവിടെയും തീരുമാനം താങ്കളുടേത് മാത്രമാണ്...
