Are you reflecting God in your life?

Exodus 34: 28, 29

²⁸ Moses was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant-the Ten Commandments.

²⁹ When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the LORD.

There is a well-known saying, "The stone near the jasmine will bear its fragrance." Similarly, there is another adage that states, "Show me your friends, and I will show you who you are." These sayings hold a profound truth: the more time we spend with someone, the more we tend to adopt their behaviors, thoughts, and characteristics. Our communication style, preferences, and even our level of thinking become influenced by those we associate with closely.

In the case of Moses, his face emanated a brilliant glow. Why did this happen? The answer lies in his forty-day encounter with the LORD. Moses became a reflection of God's glory, much like the moon reflects the radiance of the sun.

Take a moment to introspect. Whom do you spend your time with, and how do you utilize that time? These factors significantly shape who we are. When we devote more of our time to God, engaging in spiritual activities and immersing ourselves in His word, we naturally begin to speak and act in ways that are pleasing to Him. Just as Moses was unaware of his shining face, we may not always perceive the changes within ourselves, but the world can certainly witness the transformation.

May God help each of us in prioritizing our relationship with the Lord God Almighty, who loves us unconditionally. He demonstrated His love by sending His own Son to die on the cross for our sins.

He is eagerly waiting for you. Are you ready to offer Him your heart? If so, confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died and rose again for you, and accept Him as your Savior. By doing this, you will be saved.

Take away:

* Choose your friends wisely, as their influence is significant.

* Make a conscious effort to spend more time with God, allowing His characteristics to shape your life and actions.

📖 Verse of the Day 📖

Psalm 1:1-2

¹Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.

²But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.

2 Corinthians 3: 18

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
