The 1st thing that we read about Sarah in the bible is that she is the wife of Abraham and that she was barren and had no child.(Genesis 11: 30)
During those times, bearing children was considered a blessing and hence women who were barren suffered deep shame. People believed barrenness was a result of some hidden sin or flaw.
Sarah would also have gone through this mental pain and agony. She had to face the shame and insult just because she was barren.
In our lives too, there can be certain things that bring shame or pain. These may not be because of our deeds or actions. Some are born blind, some are born physically handicapped, disabled and so on. They did nothing wrong to be born that way. When we look into the life of Sarah, we can see how God turned her barrenness into a blessing. The name of the Lord was glorified through her when she gave birth to Isaac. She became the mother of nations and kings of people came from her.

So let's always remember that, God has given these small thorns in our lives for the glory of God. God knows each and every problem that's there in our lives. He knows our weaknesses. And yes, He can ultimately turn them into blessings.
