Our life is a journey filled with growth, challenges, and transformation. As we reflect on the days gone by, we see vivid memories, unfulfilled dreams, bitter trials, and moments of deep sorrow. How have the days passed? What was their purpose? What have we truly achieved?
Even in our spiritual journey, it is crucial to pause and reflect on the path we have traveled. While many dwell on the past, we are called not to linger on it but to recognize how God’s grace has upheld us and deepened our faith in Him.
As humans, mistakes and failures are inevitable. Yet, we must not waste time in guilt. In Philippians 3:13-14, Paul reminds us: "But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."
We cannot live in the shadow of past victories or regrets. Instead, let those experiences prepare us for the road ahead, trusting that God has greater things planned for us.
As another new year just embraced us, let us cherish the lessons of the past without dwelling on our failures. Commit to doing good, trust in God, and set aside time for Him.
Isaiah 43:18-19 reminds us, “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old; behold, I do new things; now they spring forth. Do you not perceive them?”
As we step into this season of waiting, let us honor how far God has brought us and commit ourselves to His purpose for the future.
Let us give thanks to God for sustaining us and express gratitude to those who loved, helped, hurt, or cared for us.
Wishing you days of peace, joy, and prosperity. May God bless you abundantly in the new year.
