🥹 A slight quantity of shame? (Remorse)
“ Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked."
This portion of scripture is from Genesis 3:7.
Have you noticed the primal thing when our foreparents sinned? They realised they were naked.
After the undertaking of each sin, we also came to know about a kind of bareness. Some may feel guilty about it. Some may pretend they are unhumiliated.
Stay still and think. Have we ever experienced shame when we found ourselves indulged in a sin? We should, before God as we are humankind. Or else, we will be forced to call ourselves a beast. Because the presence of a shameful consciousness is what marks the difference between man and animal.
It is only possible for Christ to cleanse us with the removal of shame out of sin. He offered His breath to make us free of our guilty state of mind.
1️⃣ One who was born again in Christ- Deprived of shamefulness through Him.
2️⃣ Human - presence of shame due to the existence of sin
3️⃣ Man-beast - Even though they find shame in themselves, they celebrate it.
Analyse and place ourselves as one among these three.
